Participating Members and Sites

Many participants, mostly nephrologists and nephropathologists from all over the world join the Glomerular Disease Case Conferences through formal registration. These case conferences are made possible by healthcare providers who submit clinical cases from their daily practice and through a generous donation of time and effort on the part of nephropathologists and nephrologists who discuss these cases. A group of Core Faculty has committed to review and discuss cases on a rotating basis. Invited speakers, experts, and other specialists may join to support the discussion of challenging cases. The sessions are organized and overseen by the GlomCon Course Directors and GlomCon Directors of Nephropathology. In addition to the educational mission, participants interested in clinical research activities come together to discuss, design, and conduct studies in the field of glomerular kidney disease.

Harvard CME Course Directors

The Glomerular Disease Case Conference is a Harvard Medical School Accredited conference which provides 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ per a fully attended session. Dr. Poyan Mehr (Founding Director of the GlomCon initiative) and Dr. Schlondorff organize each session, and are responsible for the review, preparation, and moderation of every conference.

Nephropathology Directors

Drs. Rennke and Stillman are the pathology consultants of GlomCon and lead the majority of case reviews of the Glomerular Disease Case Discussions. In addition, Drs. Rennke and Stillman lead the didactic nephropathology preparation of the online Case Archive, and support GlomCon’s research activities.

Core Faculty Members

Core faculty members are participants who are dedicating their time and effort on a volunteering basis to review, prepare, and discuss cases submitted by nephrologists and nephropathologists from their daily practice.

Nephrology Fellowship Training Programs

More than 18 Nephrology Fellowship Training Programs across United States and from abroad have come together to participate in our newest education innovation, The GlomCon Teaching Tool. The GlomCon Teaching Tool is a web based didactic session that is held prior to the Glomerular Disease Case Conference and designed specifically to expose trainees (medical students, residents, and fellows) to the wide diversity of glomerular diseases.

Administrative Assistants

The GlomCon Admins are busy working behind the scene of every case conference, insuring operations run smoothly. If you ever have questions about the conferences feel free to reach out to: [email protected]
